Hair Care Tip #1:

what kind of shampoo should i use?

Using a good shampoo is key to maintaining healthy hair. This may seem like a no-brainer, but using quality shampoo is one of the most important things you can do for your hair.

Look for products that are tailored to your hair type and avoid those that contain harsh chemicals (more on harsh chemicals here).

When shampooing I only shampoo the scalp and top of my head. I do not shampoo the ends because it can dry them out. Also, I try to rotate my shampoos after I finish each bottle. These are the three I rotate that I have tried and tested and work great!

What hair supplements should i take?

So I started taking these hair supplements by "Wellbel" about 8 months ago and I can tell you from my own experience that they 100% work.
When I first started taking wellbel hair supplements  I didn't see any immediate changes. But I just kept on taking them everyday and around the 3rd month I was blow drying my hair and noticed tons of new baby hairs (even my hair dresser noticed them when I went in).
Now those baby hairs are about a foot long and Its amazing! In a years time my hair will be super long and thick because it also grows super fast now too.
If you're interested in hair supplements these are amazing and I can tell you first hand they really work. They have also made my skin and nails so healthy. I stopped getting gel nail polish because my nails are so strong now I don't need it. (they also make them for mens hair, so tell your man!)

Hair Care Tip #2:

which conditioner works for dry damaged hair?

Conditioner is probably the most important product to me, but it can be tricky to find one that works for your hair type.
If you have dry, damaged hair, look for a conditioner that contains natural oils or proteins. These will help to replenish the moisture in your hair and make it look and feel healthier.
In the shower I put mine in and then tie it up and let it sit for 10 mins so it has a chance to soak in.
I do not put conditioner on my roots because this can cause build up on your scalp and make your hair look oily or weighed down.

In addition to using a good conditioner, you should also be using a heat protectant when styling your hair.
I like to use a heat protectant that is also a leave in conditioner. This one by Kérastase I've found to be the most lightweight and protective all in one.
Been using it for about a years and it's amazing. Doesn't weigh your hair down and smells great.

Hair Care Tips #3:

how to use a hair oil?

One important tip for healthy hair is to use oils. I used to always think they would make my hair greasy or weigh it down. Thats totally wrong, you just have to find the right one!
Hair oils can help to nourish and protect your ends, and give them a healthy sheen.
When applying your hair oils, be sure to focus on the ends of your hair and avoid getting any oil on your scalp.
A little goes a long way when it comes to hair oils, so start with a small amount and build up as needed.

Hair Care Tip #4:

which deep conditioning

hair masks really work?

If you've ever colored your hair then you most likely have done a bit of damage to your hair.
I have bleached my hair over the years so its very important to me to have a hair mask that really works because if you're dealing with dry, damaged hair, a good hair mask can be a godsend.
Hair masks are designed to deep condition your locks, giving them the hydration and nourishment they need to look and feel healthy.
I do a hair mask once every two weeks (put it in your schedule and thank me later).
I put in in my hair from root to tips and comb thru to make sure its covered then tie it up and sleep with it in over night.
This has really been the most amazing thing for my hair. I highly recommend this step.
Ive listed below the ones I use and know work and are worth the price.

Hair Care Tip #5:

do hair treaments like olaplex and

K18 actually work?

First let's talk about Olaplex. Olaplex is a pre-shampoo hair treatment that reduces breakage and split ends.
It helps build back healthy bonds in your hair damaged by chemical services, heat, and styling
I have personally used Olaplex for years. When I go to get my hair done I always have my hairdresser add it to my hair.
I also use the at home version once a week. I sleep in it over night then wash it out in the morning then shampoo and condition as usual.
Moving on to K18....
This is a new product for me but i have seen some results from it.
It takes a few times using it to see results but I've been told by my hairdresser it is better than Olaplex.
So, I'm giving it a go and can say so far I really like it. My hair feels healthier each time its used.

Hair Care Tips #6:

which hair ties wont damage my hair?

The biggest issue with hair ties is that they can cause breakage, which is why it's important to find ones that are gentle on your hair.

The best hair ties will have a soft fabric backing that won't put too much tension on your hair.

You also want to avoid any ties with metal hardware, as this can also lead to breakage.

I used to use the rubber bands that were super tight but i switched to silk loose hair ties.

Its made a huge difference on my hair breakage.

Also another tip, don't tie your hair up too much. I say avoid it if possible because It puts a great deal of tension on your hair.

I like to tie mine in a loose bun and use oversized scrunchie thats soft.

Hair Care Tip#7:

what is a shower water filter?

One of the best ways to maintain healthy hair is by using a shower water filter.
Shower water filters help remove chlorine from your water that can damage your hair and make it look dry and brittle.
They also remove minerals from your water that can build up on your hair and scalp, which causes dull lifeless hair.
Lastly, they help remove impurities that can lead to scalp problems.
I put mine in myself after watching a how-to on You tube. Trust me your hair will thank you.

Hair Care Tip #8:

How do silk pillow cases

help your hair?

There are actually quite a few benefits to using a silk pillowcase. For starters, silk is a natural material that is gentle on your hair and skin. It can help to reduce frizz and static, and it's also hypoallergenic, so it's a great choice for people with sensitive skin or allergies.
Silk pillowcases are also good for your hair because they help to keep it healthy and hydrated. When your hair is constantly rubbing against a rough material like cotton, it can become dry and damaged.
Silk allows your hair to slide gently across the pillow, which helps to keep it from becoming frizzy or breaking.
If you're looking for a silk pillowcase that will help you maintain healthy hair, I  recommend checking out the ones from Slip.
They're made of 100% pure mulberry silk, and they come in a variety of sizes and colors.
I also like to use silk hair wraps too for sleeping if a pillow case isn't your thing.

Hair Care Tips #9:

how to dry your hair without damaging it

There are a few different ways that you can dry your hair without damaging it. One way is to use a diffuser.
A diffuser is an attachment that you can put on your hair dryer that helps to distribute the heat evenly and prevents your hair from getting damaged.
Another way to dry your hair without damaging it is to use a microfiber towel.
Microfiber towels are made of a material that is gentle on your hair and helps to absorb moisture.
I personally never blow dry my hair right out of the shower while its still really wet. I put mine in a microfiber head wrap and let it dry mostly inside of that. Then I either air dry or blow dry (sparingly).
I really try to avoid using a blow dryer as often as possible. I use this blow dryer because the heat isn't very strong so it helps my hair stay healthy.
It's pricey but worth every penny if you dry your hair often or its long.

Hair Care Tips #10:

how to style your hair without Damaging it?

One of the best ways to style your hair without damaging it is to use a good quality styling tool.

I try to use my curling iron on the ends as little as possible. When curling it I always start at the top and work down so the ends get less time on the curler.

I also use it at its lowest setting and I don't leave it on a piece too long.

When I was young I used to fry my hair. Then I realized I didn't need to be so harsh with it to get the same, if not better, results.

Also little tip, putting hair spray on before your curl it will help protect it and help hold its style.

Below you can shop the exact curling iron, blow dryer, and hair spray I use to get my beach waves.

I prefer a loose natural curl that I can run my fingers thru and this hairspray and barrel size for the curler work perfectly.

        do heatless

       curlers work?

I have just started using a heatless curling tool. At first I didn't think it would work but I can tell you, they do!
Takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it its so easy. I just spray my hair with a light mist of water and roll my hair onto the curler and sleep with it. I wake up and just like that I have gorgeous curls.
Sometimes I have to use the curling iron to fix little bits but overall its way less heat on my hair, which I love!
